ATHENS

Transportation

Athens airport / port by arrival, port / airport by return from Crete , for the departure home

Accommodation: 5***** hotel / double occupancy / bed and breakfast bases

Tours: Athens city tour including Acropolis and the archaeological museum (escorted- guided- entrance fees not included)

Schedule

Day One:

Arrival Athens. Reception at the airport. Transportation to the port of Piraeus. Embarkation the boat. Night ferry trip to Chania– Crete. Accommodation on board. (AB2 Cabin: Double inside with shower & WC)

Day Two: CRETE

Arrival. Reception at the port. Transportation to the hotel. Rest of the day free to know the area or a small biking tour at the near area. Dinner at the hotel. Accommodation Chania.

Day Three: West Crete:

Combination of history & sport. Etap starts Chania. First break at the ruins of Aptera. (At that point there are ruins from 3 different periods. Ancient Minoan, Roman, and Byzantine period.) Biking way to Vrysses / Georgioupolis and break for lunch. Biking to the lake of Kournas, Episkopi and ends at the waters of Argyroupolis. Accommodation at the village of Argyroupolis.(47 KM). (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)

Day Four: West Crete:

A 35 km nice cycling the unknown country side of Rethymnon region. Accommodation the city of Rethymnon. (35 KM) (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)

Day Five: West Crete:

Biking south Syvritos, Moni Assomaton, Kouroutes, Mandres, Agia Galini. Lunch on the way and accommodation Agia Galini. Dinner at the hotel. (48 KM) (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)

Day Six: North Central Crete:

Agia Galini, , the palace of Phaestos and the village of Sivas. The monastery of Odigitrias (13th century with beautiful frescoes) (52 KM) (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)

Day Seven: Central Crete:

Cycling direction north the ancient city of Gortys and up to the lake of Zaros. Accommodation Zaros. (39 KM) (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)

Day Eight: Central Crete:

Cycling direction Heraklion. Arrive Heraklion early afternoon. Ddrive to Heraklion port. Embarkation and night ferry trip to Piraeus / Athens. Accommodation on board (48 KM)

Day Nine: ATHENS:

Arrive port of Pireau. Reception at the port and transportation to the hotel. Half a day city tour of Athens including Acropolis and the archaeological museum (escorted - guided)

Terms & Conditions

RESERVATIONS

All trip costs listed are per person, based on double occupancy, airfare not included. To reserve, first contact by email then return with a deposit of 30% per person. The remaining balance will be due 60 days before trip departure. After receipt of final payment, you will receive a comprehensive pre-departure packet. This information will contain historical and cultural overviews of the region you will be visiting, hotel listings, ferry tickets, vouchers, daily highlights, suggested readings, pre-trip planning and more.

ACCOMMODATION

Tour prices include accommodations in fine, high standard services hotels, and include breakfast and ALL MEALS as per schedule. Prices are based on double occupancy. Limited single occupancy is available for a $480 supplement. If you are travelling alone and wish to share a room, we will pair you with another same gender tour participant. If we are unable to find a roommate, the single rate will apply.

To reserve, please CONTACT FIRST BY EMAIL, and then return with a deposit of 30% of trip cost per person to the address below. Deposit can be given through bank or your credit card. Feel free to call us to discuss the itinerary in detail and to answer any of your questions.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event you need to cancel, the following apply:
- 91 days or more: 30% Refund of deposit.
-61-90 days: 50% refund of trip cost
-31-60 days: 25% refund of trip cost
-0-30 days: 0 % refund of trip cost
