You will learn how to cook the authentic Cretan style Egg and lemon rice fish or vegetable soup  using fresh fish and seasonal products, enjoy the cooking experience and finish the adventure enjoying the wonderful lunch prepared in a friendly and casual atmosphere.
Learn to cook in the private kitchen of the cook’s home right in the centre of the city of Heraklion and cook traditional Cretan dishes from the region with fun and friendly hosts George or Irene who are passionate about cooking and Cretan culture using fish and fresh vegetables from the open food market for a unique cooking holiday experience in Heraklion – Crete. Join us to cook a typical Cretan menu, from Egg and lemon fish soup (various rock fish, veggies, egg and lemon) and kakavia (open sea fishermen soup)- to anchovies in the pan fry, grilled and in oven with legumes, on this half-day cookery course that promises not just a culinary but also a cultural experience as your class starts with a visit to the days Heraklion open food market

The course aims to show clear and simple the how to prepare and cook the well known and popular Cretan style fresh fish and sea food and lasts around 3 to 4 hours

Once the menu is ready, you and your fellow would-be cooks will sit down with your host to enjoy the delicious Cretan food you have prepared, accompanied by a glass ofLocal wine.

Suitability
- Suitable for all levels of cooking experience from beginners to advanced
- Minimum age 12, under 18's must be accompanied by an adult
- Lessons will be taught in English
 One Day Cretan Cooking Class Start Days
- Classes run on selected dates throughout the year
- There is 1 class per day (excluding  Sunday) starting in the morning with a market visit
- Morning market visits are on MonTue, WedThuFri and Sat
